I heard a very moving and inspirational story on the radio the other night on the “Delilah Show” and wanted to share it with you.  It was a beautiful reminder of the universe’s ability to see the greater plan and amaze and humble us in the power of the co-creative process.  Enjoy.  Tissues Recommended….

He sounded like a very gentle soul as he shared his story on the radio.  He was requesting a particular song for his wife, Betty, of many years.  The husband started by explaining that he married Betty when his son was already 10 years old, and though they were not biologically related, Betty took on his son as her own in every way.  They had a beautiful family, however, were never able to have any more children.   Then, just a few years ago, one of Betty’s friends shared some surprising news.  She had decided to adopt a child from the Ukraine.  Betty was actually 2nd generation Ukrainian herself and when she relayed this information to her husband, as he explained, “what she didn’t say in words, was stated clearly in her eyes”.  The desire to also adopt a child from the land of her heritage had been sparked.  How could he say no to such a clear, powerful sign.  So the begun the slow, arduous process of adoption.

A year had passed and the adoption process was wearing the couple pretty thin both emotionally and financially.  They started to question if this adoption was truly the right choice.  So, they decided to ask God for a sign.  The next song that came on the radio that night was Elton John’s “Blessed”.  If you haven’t heard this song, check out the lyrics and see just how rediculously perfect they are.  After tears and assurance, the couple decided to continue with the process.

The next time they visited an orphanage in the Ukraine, the social worker explained that there was a child that may be a good candidate for adoption.  She was 16 months old and just recently arrived.  She had been very sick since birth and was just finally healthy enough to go to the orphanage.  When the social worker mentioned the date of the arrival to the orphanage, the couple noted that it was also the date of Betty’s late mother’s birthday.  And in a greater surprise, they were also told that the little girl’s name was Elizabeth, also Betty’s mother’s first name.  The song, Blessed, yet again came to their minds.  They waited excitedly to meet their potential future daughter, Elizabeth.

Before the introduction, the social worker explained that the little girl was not used to men at all and that the couple would look very unusual to her because of how differently they dressed and talked, so though they could meet her, if she screamed or cried, to not take it too hard.  Braced with this possibility, the couple agreed and Elizabeth was brought in and put on the floor a few feet from the couple.  Instead of screaming or crying however, Elizabeth chose to happily wave at the couple from where she was.  After a few moments, she then stood up on her little legs and hobbled right over to Betty and climbed into her lap, eventually resting her head on Betty’s chest and relaxing into her.  Well, as you can imagine, after the shock of the experience, there wasn’t a dry eye in the place.  Elizabeth had clearly chosen her parents and now it was just a matter of closing the deal.

This story to me is truly about trusting the process.  Truly surrendering when you know in your heart that something is right and trusting the universe to bring it in the perfect time and place.  Listening to those nudges and asking for clarity from the universe in times of doubt or  confusion.  The support of the universe is always available to co-create with you and those who created agreements with you to be in your life.  Surrender and trust “God’s timing”.  All is well. This story reminds us of that.

Deborah shared this beautiful story with me that perfectly represented the law of circulation, when you give lovingly and unconditionally the universe can bring the equivalent or more back to you easily and effortlessly. It touched me so dearly, I was inspired to write it down and share it with all of you.

Overall, Deborah was not one for material possessions. That being said, there were a few things that she truly treasured, not for what they were but what they represented to her. One of those such items was a tiny alabaster Pegasus figurine that she lovingly kept on a little shelf over her bath. She never really understood why, but she dearly loved that figurine. Every time she would take a bath, she would gaze lovingly at it and it would bring her such a sense of peace. It became a very dear friend, supporter in presence that she appreciated often throughout her life.

Deborah is a very heart-centered person. She is a caretaker, a helper, at heart and in action. One of the many people Deborah supported in her life through her love and kindness was a 10 yr old girl, named Sarah. She described Sarah as “the forgotten child” which is not uncommon in a household of 6 children. Deborah would take Sarah on walks from time to time to give her some individual attention. On one of their walks, Sarah mentioned that she really loved “those horses with wings”. Deborah knew immediately she was referring to Pegasus and the little figurine in her bathroom flashed through her head. Sarah talked about how it represented freedom, confidence and beauty to her and Deborah could tell this mythical creature represented something very powerful to both Sarah and her. It was a wonderful bonding experience for both. Deborah never mentioned that little figurine to Sarah (or anyone else for that matter) but every time she looked at it after that, she thought of Sarah. Her heart felt torn. She loved this little figurine and what it represented so dearly, and yet felt powerfully drawn to give it to Sarah and knew she would truly appreciate the gift.

By the time their next walk came around, Deborah had made her decision. Sarah was meant to have that alabaster Pegasus. The inner calling to share that little figurine had won out over her feeling of lack and loss in not having it. When she arrived to pick Sarah up and gave her the unexpected present, Sarah’s entire face lit up. Deborah explained, “It was like I gave her the world”. She appreciated the little figurine so fully and treasured it with all her heart. Deborah knew she had done the right thing, and the joy in the giving was wonderful. Deborah never told anyone about giving her little alabaster Pegasus away. It was her and Sarah’s little secret and though she did miss it, she never regretted the choice.

About a month later, one of Deborah was meeting up with one of her dearest friends, Jane, to catch up. After chatting for a little while, Jane told Deborah she had a little gift for her and brought a small box out of her purse. Jane explained before it was opened that getting this gift “was the oddest thing”. She had seen this little trinket in a store a little while back and “something just kept telling me I should get it for you”. She went by it a couple times before finally deciding to buy it. “I don’t even know if it is something that you would like”, she explained. “I just felt the need to give it to you. You can use it or give it to someone else.” When Deborah opened the box, she was astounded. Inside, staring up at her, was an exact replica of her little alabaster Pegasus.

The universe has a million ways to surprise and delight us when we come from high vibration of unconditional love. This example of the Law of Circulation at work is just one of thousands. May it support you in remembering the power of giving, surrender and love.

Dear Michelle,

Our family along with the rest of the country has been feeling the recession. My daughter (new grad RN) had to move back in with us because she hadn’t been able to get a permanent job and my husband’s business was slow so we had to make a lot of cut backs. I had been helping my daughter pay her
bills etc. A few years back, a friend had mentioned the book “The Secret” and how it helped her so I bought the book, read it. I pulled the book back out again in September because I wanted to have a positive attitude so I read it and said this statement every day “Money is abundant – Checks are in the mail” and “Let go and let God” and I really let it go. About 2 weeks later I was going through our mail and I came across an 8 ½ size envelope and it looked like junk insurance mail so
I set it aside. My daughter had a physical test for a nursing job in Atascadero so we went but she didn’t pass. She was devastated. They said she could come back in one month and
Retake the physical agility test. When we came back, she hit the gym almost twice a day to get in shape. I was going through the mail again and came across that envelope
I opened it and inside was a $7,000 check. In 2007, I was injured at work using a new tool they had bought so I had a rotator cuff tear surgery was in Jan 2008 and by June 2008
I was cleared – I had 86% of my arm use back so I was happy and I had already returned to work in March 2008. The letter said that when workman’s comp had originally rated me
at the wrong rate so I was not paid correctly and this is how much they owed me. What are the odds when we needed the money and it was exactly the amount. I had finally let go of worrying. My daughter passed her test in October so I put down her first and last rent, paid off my visa, paid her taxes and her bills for two months.

I have worked in my job for 30 years without any problems until they made me use that piece of equipment so I did not believe in abusing the system as so many people do.
I am thankful that the “Law of Attraction” was there for me when I needed it to be.

My husband and my anniversary is April 28 and in the year 2005 but we were busy at the time to take time off to celebrate.

So we postponed and made reservations at one of the casino’s in Lake Tahoe for around May 10.  We arrived on a Friday and were supposed to be there for 2 nights leaving on Sunday (we were presently remodeling our house and our son turned 16 years so we going to need a vehicle for him).  We were both feeling happy and just enjoyed ourselves.  Friday evening I won $1,000 on wheel of fortune machine.  Saturday, I won another $1,500.

On Sunday, because I was just so happy and feeling great, I asked my husband, can we just stay another day.  He agreed so I called work to take a day off, etc.  Monday morning, we were getting ready to leave but went down to the café in casino for breakfast.  My husband always played Keno.  So I thought I’ll play a ticket so I played an 8 spot marking the birthdays of our two children, my birthday, our anniversary and mine and my husband’s ages.  I played the ticket for 2 games at $2 each game.  I thought wow if I could just get 7 out of the 8 that would be $3,000.  Well I looked up at the Keno board and I started counting all the numbers I had marked and I looked at my husband and I said I think I won something.  He took the ticket, looked at the board and then the ticket and then he looked at me and I said did I win and he said OH YEAH and I said how much?  He said you don’t want to know.  Then the Keno runner came up immediately and asked me to come to the front desk because I had won – I asked how much and he said $50,000.  I was in shock, they took my picture, gave me a $45,000 check and $5,000 in cash.  I asked my husband can we just stay one more day and he agreed again and the casino gave us a suite, we called our best friends and they came up to help us celebrate.  I gave them each $300 in an envelope and they refused it but I finally convinced them to use for their kids and grandchild.  We went to play wheel of fortune and I was sitting in between them and I won $636.  So I told them see I gave this money to you but I got it back so don’t feel guilty about taking money.

We bought my son a new truck and paid for the remodel.  I never asked again until this year for help with money situation, but when I applied the law of attraction you already know the second story. (I will share Rebecca’s second story another day)

I just heard a wonderful story by Wayne Dyer that I thought I would share that will build your “Proof Muscle” about manifesting.

Wayne’ daughter, Summer, loves horses and teaching but hated the stable where she worked. They didn’t pay her well and it was a negative environment.  So, concluding that she couldn’t be paid well, or have a positive experience doing what she loved, she chose to leave that job and become a waitress, which she still didn’t enjoy but paid better.

When she shared her frustration about her current job with Wayne, he reminded her that it was her beliefs that create her reality not the other way around, so he worked with her on letting go of that limiting belief that you can’t have it all.  A few days after she shifted her belief and became clear that she did want and deserved a job teaching horseback riding for really good pay in a positive setting, she notice a sign on the side of the road as she drove to work.  She had seen the sign before but never read it.  This time, she was in alignment and so she felt inclined to read it.  The sign was for a horse back riding instructor.  When she called, they offered her the level of salary she wanted  and wanted to hire her that day.  And of course, the environment was much more positive.

Stories like this are around us everywhere.  Start listening and start writing them down.  Find them in your life and the lives of others.  There are reminders all around….
